When ultrasound enters the body it reacts in various ways. It is absorbed by muscle, tendons and bone. Harder surfaces like bone will absorb and reflect ultrasound energy. Are Ultrasonic Facial Treatments Safe?
Ultrasonic treatment is considered a safe, easy and gentle skin rejuvenation technology however the following precautions should always be taken:
• Do not use internally and avoid using near mouth, ears and centre of the throat.
• Do not use on open sores, wounds or infected areas.
• Never use internally (i.e. in mouth, nose, etc.)

High Frequency Facial
The primary action of high frequency current is thermal (heat producing) and is characterized by a high rate of oscillation. From 1998 I did voluntary work to gain more experience at several amateur rugby leagues clubs in the North West, then in 2002 joined Haydock ARLFC as the club sports therapist and continued onto the higher national division, as club sports therapist for Liverpool Buccaneers leaving in 2010/11 to concentrate fully on the salon and business. During this time I also worked as a part time freelance Sports Therapist at salons around Merseyside and also full time for HMRC.

The sad passing of my father in late 2007 gave me the wake up call that I’d needed for a long while, and made me realise that it was my time to fulfill that ambitions that I’d always had and put my skills to greater use. So here I am X number of years later, fully embracing the opportunities that have come my way and loving my job. Its been a hard struggle at times, I’m not denying that, but ultimately I can say hand on heart that I love my business, the clients and friends that have come from it over the years and I wake up in the morning without that dreaded thought of having to go to work. I get pleasure out of helping people feel better, sometimes both physically and mentally, and nothing can give you a greater feeling than that.

FAQ’s

Who can have massage?

Age is irrelevant with massage: young or older people can have massage, though those under the age of 18 will only be massaged with a parent/guardian present. Certain medical conditions may need a note from your doctor to allow massage to go ahead, if in doubt please ask when making your appointment.

Can I still have massage if I’m pregnant?

Yes, however this can only be carried out in the second trimester as massage can possibly induce miscarriage and early labour.

What happens during my massage appointment?

At your first massage appointment, an indepth free consultation will take place, covering aspects of your medical history and lifestyle, this is to ascertain that there are no reasons as to why you can’t be massaged.

The session and every other one will then commence with the therapist leaving the room whilst you undress to your underwear (full body massage only) and get comfortable on the massage couch, with towels covering you.

For a full body massage your chest, hands, arms, abdomen (optional), legs front and back, buttocks (sciatica suffers only) and back will be massage with oil. During the massage only one area at a time will be exposed. At the end of the massage the therapist will again leave the room, allowing you time to come round and get dressed and meet you in reception.
